Realize depression is an illness -
like a cold, flu or cancer. Having depression does not mean you are
"messed up". Sometimes the most "together" people get
seriously depressed.
Most
people have either had depression or know somebody that has.
Depression
can be a serious illness. A physician will usually prescribe medication
that will mask the depression, it however will not cure the cause. (Although it
is certainly something to consider if you feel very very bad or suicidal).
Sometimes
a chemical imbalance can be triggered by events. This could be the death
of a loved one, marital abuse, having an affair, drug use, loss of a job or
other tragic events. Consider the cause of your depression as you plan
your recovery.
Is There A Home Remedy For
Depression?
Yes,
there are plenty of alternative treatments.
If
you are affected by depression try any, or a combination of the treatments
listed below.
Get out in Nature
Being in nature will help. Flowers that smell good, bright sunshine and fresh air will maybe not cure you, but will elevate your spirits.
Sleep
More
Sleep
more and drink plenty of water. I am often amazed how often this simple therapy
will cure almost anything.
In
one of study, there was a 30% improvement in patients after adding just 3 extra
glasses of water a day to their diet. Most people find that, by taking sleep
for eight hours and drinking eight glasses of water a day, their depression is
alleviated.
Home Remedy For Depression Using Myrrh
The
herb myrrh, can be burned, or a teaspoon of powdered myrrh can be added to a
glass of boiled water and drank twice a day is an extremely effective home
remedy for depression.
Home Remedy For Depression By
Focusing On The Positive
Every
day just write down at least one good or happy thing you saw, heard, did, or
thought happened to you. When you're feeling down go back and read the good
things that actually happen every day. People who do this for a couple of weeks
say they are pretty amazed at the difference.
